Common features of different types of movement education and movement therapy
pp. 227-231
Abstract
For some time now, a widening palate of alternative choices of practising physical activity has become available, adding to the large scope already existing in traditional sports. There are two main reasons for this departure from standardized physical activities and routines. On the one hand, it is due to the influence of oriental philosophy and forms of movement. On the other, it is part of a growing interest in the individual and of a reevaluation in a society that is largely technically and science orientated.
