Education as a positional good
pp. 43-58
Abstract
It is sports' day at Llanabba Castle preparatory school. The Three Miles Open race has just been run, with young Clutterbuck first home. But the day's even tenor is jarred, when Lady Circumference accuses him of skipping a lap. Tempers rise and Dr Fagan, the headmaster, hastens to join the group round the winning post.
