Nietzsche's style of affirmation

the metaphors of genealogy

pp. 132-146

Abstract

This paper is a Versuch. It tries (and perhaps fails) to solve what appears to me as a radical, inescapable dilemma in Nietzsche's thought: How and what can Nietzsche affirm after the death of God, without stumbling into arbitrary and nonsensical speech?
