Belief, acceptance and knowledge

L. Jonathan Cohen

pp. 11-19

Abstract

The difference between belief and acceptance has been largely ignored in recent philosophy. Yet when the two concepts are prised apart, and disentangled from the various confusions in which they have become embedded, new insights become available into a number of important issues that otherwise remain inadequately understood.
